Welcome chicken lovers!
Here at Rockysticks Farm our chicken obsession started in May of 2009 with our very first chicks which came to an even dozen from the local feed stores. They grow a lot faster than you think and next thing we knew they needed a place outdoors! So I quickly built the first run out of piece milled scraps of lumber and chicken wire.... then went on to bigger and better runs, coops and flocks.....yes FLOCKS plural!
We now have a laying flock and many kinds of show and other purpose chickens! With a membership to a wonderful 4-H group called Fancy Feathers. We learn all about showing and raising chickens!
We have learned so much and learn more every day. Our wonderful little breakfast makers have really enriched our lives and continue to do so as they sing for us every day! We also have other animals that brighten our days including dogs, cats, and a ferret...we have also been called a zoo, and we have never been accused of being normal!
